Testimonials
"Amanda's classes are just the right amount of challenging. The process of guided asanas, and the focused breathing always leave me feeling so energised for the rest of the day. And good about myself.
What I enjoy most is the variety - how each class has a theme, and the poses build to a meaningful whole. Being one of Amanda's students doesn't just apply in class; i'm conscious of my posture and breathing in everyday life and am more self-aware for it.."
"Over the years I have attended Amanda’s group yoga classes, one to one, workshops and yoga in nature.
At the beginning of my journey my mind would race wildly, emotions turbulent and my body reluctant to find ease.
Being with Amanda and her gentle, yet intentional way of being, allowed my mind to find calm and my body to soften and open. A feeling of being enveloped in a hug and knowing you’ve given your body and mind what they need."
"Amanda's class breaths life into tired muscles, bringing my body and mind into alignment. I feel at once energised and relaxed after attending and go on to feel the positive effects for days afterwards! Amanda was brilliant during my recent pregnancy and adapted the poses to support my changing body and energy levels.
Amanda has an excellent sense of humour and classes are always enjoyable. I like the fact that I can take the sessions at my own pace and that Amanda always tailors the poses to our individual needs. Amanda leads her classes with an excellent balance of anatomical information, anecdotes and reflections on Iyengar's practice. "
"Amanda's classes make me feel alive and they definitely relieve stress and help sleep.
Amanda can make the class work on zoom as well as in person, a testament to her skill and keen eye!"
"I hadn’t done any Yoga for a few years, and saw Amanda’s early evening summer classes were advertised at the Forest Hill nature reserve. I had wanted to get back into my practice, and thought that the idea of also being outdoors would be a great way to help switch off after a day working from home.
The sessions were so enjoyable - with a friendly group of people who had varying experience levels - it felt particularly inclusive for me in terms of how Amanda was able to recommend adaptations to poses that I found too challenging, as I
have arthritis in my hips.
Being outdoors definitely added an extra dimension to my experience – and the sights, sounds & smells around me enabled me to stay focussed and present in the moment, without my thoughts wandering. I loved having the final relaxation pose lying on the grass, listening to birdsong & feeling literally grounded!"
