Amanda Richardson
Yoga teacher
I’m Amanda. I’ve been practising and teaching Iyengar yoga for over 20 years.
Yoga has the power to positively transform people’s lives, physically and emotionally. It can help you peel away layers of stress and anxiety, and release physical aches and pains.
It can help you sleep better and leave you feeling calm and more grounded. It genuinely is an all- round life enhancer!
Teaching outdoors in natural surroundings (when the weather allows) brings an extra dimension to my work, and helps students to find peace through reconnection with nature and the self.
I am deeply committed to the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar and his family. They are a constant inspiration and motivation to me, and I want to share this with you.

Why Iyengar yoga?
Iyengar yoga is a progressive learning methodology, where a stable foundation is built. Props such as bricks and blocks are used to steer you closer to the classical shape of each posture (asana).
Each asana has its own purpose, practice of them attunes your body to this purpose ironing out long held patterns of tension leaving you calm and centred with a positive resolve.
Iyengar yoga focuses on alignment and awareness to improve posture, mobility and balance, building strength and stamina.
