Book classes - Wednesday Online Yoga
Mixed ability classes suitable for beginners and those with a continuous practice.
All new students will be asked to fill in a standard Health Check form before the class begins. This only takes a few minutes.
If you are in recovery from an injury or serious illness please seek approval from your GP before joining a general yoga class. If you are uncertain, please contact me so we can discuss it.
Wear something you can move freely in. Avoid anything baggy or too long: it’s important you and the teacher can see your knees and feet.
Most people wear shorts or leggings and a T-shirt.
Yoga is always practised in bare feet.
Please get in touch before joining a class if you are new and have recently become pregnant. If you are healthy and have a normal pregnancy, you can maintain your practice in the class up to your 10th week. Between 10 and 14 weeks, you shouldn’t attend classes, however experienced you are – rest.
You can rejoin these classes from 15 weeks.
You must inform me of your pregnancy as soon as you can: some poses should be avoided. There may come a time in your pregnancy where you might want to progress to a specialised Pregnancy Class.
For online classes, minimum suggested equipment:
- 1 x mat
- 1 x belt
- 2 – 4 x foam pads (or large books, dictionaries are quite good)
- 1 x blanket
- 2 x bricks (stack of smaller books good for this)
There are many suppliers of yoga equipment – I would point you in the direction of YogaMatters who cater to many budgets and have a wide selection of equipment.
Have a good shop around to find a supplier that suits your needs.
